Forestry Postgraduate Offering Labour in Return for Shadowing Opportunity I have recently graduated from an MSc in Environmental Forestry, and am looking to build my experience of forest management before finding a full-time job. I have a particular interest in coppice systems and related crafts, but would be very grateful for a shadowing opportunity with managers of other woodlands or forests.

I have two years experience as a tree surgeon, holding CS30, 31, 38, 39, Chipper and MEWP tickets. I am a hard worker and can be put to use doing a variety of practical jobs. I am also competent and interested in various aspects of green woodwork and have recently been volunteering in a small roundwood-framed building in North London. I have also assisted on a greenwood chair-making course in Herefordshire.

Wanted - Forwarder Operator I need an operator to operate my Valtra N101 tractor with timber trailer. Most of the work is road work moving cordwood from roadside stacks to customers' yards. You will be paid on a contract basis per load moved and this gives you an opportunity to work flexible hours and earn good money. I will guarantee you a minimum amount of money per day though. You will also be paid to maintain the equipment.

I also have an older Valtra with trailer for in-wood work and there's further work operating this.

All in all I probably need someone 2 or 3 days a week but time is completely flexible and more hours are available if wanted.

An exciting opportunity has arisen to work with the East Sussex County Council's Archaeology and Museums Partnership (ESAMP). ESAMP is a specialist part of East Sussex County Council (ESCC) which has a national reputation for excellence in archaeological and environmental training.

The SFF Training Officer will lead a small team of trainees through an innovative programme of reconstruction archaeology and archaeological landscape management. The work will be practical, intellectually stimulating and of benefit to the local community.

The ESAMP SFF Project is funded by the Heritage Lottery Fund and will run for 15 months. The post is based with ESAMP at the Anne of Cleves House Museum in Lewes and the project will take place in sites across Sussex.
